How Celeste Works - |How Celeste is Different from the Rest of the World, and How to Stay Alive| [/b][/right] Legendaries: Legendaries elsewhere appear usually as moderate-large sized animals that have some degree of control over a certain, specific element. Some, like Arceus and Mew, are considered "God Pokémon" and the creation of Pokémon is attributed to them. However, on this other planet, the planet that contains Celeste, the legendaries are far different. First, they are not one of a kind, but rather function as an incredibly powerful individual from a more common, but still powerful, species. Zapdos fly in flocks in certain mountain ranges, and Mews can appear anywhere, although they are still hard to catch. The legendaries have direct influence over the actions of Pokémon, and often form mobs or armies to disrupt each others actions. These legendaries, with their increased size, intelligence, and power, have been compared to the Greek Pantheon, and indeed, they are quite similar.
The Physics of the Place: Celeste has decreased gravity. It's a bit hard to tell at first, but after a while people begin to realize that they can jump higher and fall slower than usual. It is also suggested that Celeste has some kind of strange electromagnetic field, as electronics (especially communication tools) can pull of all kinds of weird tricks, such as turning off, exhibiting symptoms of being fried for only five minutes, and not receiving any kind of radio waves for up to a week.
