Although it's only a dirt area on the outskirts of town, the Paris Town Gym still exudes an aura of class. Originally the town planned to have a Grass-type gym leader, but the abundance of Ground-type Pokémon in the immediate area led to the inclusion of Ground as a secondary type. The contrast in types provides for an interesting effect, as the dusty gym is filled with the scent of flowers.
